Description

The international corporate headquarters of the group, which was inaugurated in 2010, meets the strict regulations of the DGNB with an efficient energy supply concept, the use of sustainable technologies and building materials, and convinces with an energy-efficient heating and cooling concept.1 Part of this is the capillary tube system.

The headquarters' primary energy demand is 58 per cent below the legal requirements. The life cycle assessment of the building shows CO² emissions that are approximately 27 percent below the value of a comparable reference building.1

For the new ThyssenKrupp Quarter in Essen, Clina supplied more than 15.000 m² of capillary tube mats as the basis for heating and cooling ceilings, which provide comfortable room temperature control. In the new corporate headquarters, 14.500 m² were installed as plaster ceilings and around 600 m² as gypsum board ceilings.
